More than 135 specialists from over 20 countries are working in the PALLAS programme to realize the PALLAS reactor; a state-of-the-art multifunctional nuclear reactor that is being built in the dunes of Petten, just 60 km north of Amsterdam.
This new build ensures over 30% of the world's production of medical isotopes for the next 50 years. And thus ensure the treatment and diagnoses of 30,000 patients a day worldwide. Patients that suffer from life-threatening diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
By conducting various nuclear technology research programs, the PALLAS reactor contributes to the development of a CO2-free energy supply.
