Your risk management expertise will be added to the PALLAS Project Controls professionals, who are responsible for project planning and control of this> €2 bln nuclear project. A firm challenge for you and the team. Not only because of the scale and budget, but moreover because it’s the first nuclear newbuild in the Netherlands since 50 years and a one of a kind nuclear reactor in the world. Such a project requires mature Risk Management. Therefore PALLAS developed a software program called WorQmanager - which is a well thought out risk tooling, and enables continuous risk monitoring, scoring and pro-active facilitating of schedule and cost impact according to the bow-tie method.

At our office in Alkmaar, over a 100 (nuclear) specialists from more than 20 countries are working on the realization of the PALLAS-reactor: a state-of-the-art multifunctional nuclear reactor, to be built in the dunes of Petten, just 60 km’s north of Amsterdam. This newbuild will enable the Netherlands to continue to help millions of people and even save lives for the next 50 years. The isotopes are used for diagnoses and treatment of 30.000 patients a day worldwide, that suffer from life-threatening diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular conditions. And by carrying out various nuclear (technological) research programs, the PALLAS-reactor will also contribute to the development of safe and climate neutral energy supply.
This extensive and complex programme is supported by the PALLAS PMO team, in which seven professionals work on planning & scheduling, project control and project controls management. Now the project has entered the Detailed Design phase, the PMO team would like to add a Risk Manager to their team.
